A community of hospitality, hope and justice
History
  • In 1989 the Friars at Merchants Quay established a project for people affected by drug use and HIV, with the support of lay professionals and volunteers
  • In 1996 the F?ilti? Resource Centre for homeless persons was established extending the food service provided through the Tea Rooms to include a wide variety of vital social services
  • In 2001 the homeless and drugs services operating at Merchants Quay were brought together under one management structure and became Merchants Quay Ireland

The people we work with
  • In 2006 we worked with over 5,000 drug users and homeless people.
  • More than 4,000 attended our Open Access Homeless & Drugs Services
