This Christmas, you can help people who are hungry and homeless.
![After the tragic death of his son, Dermot found himself homeless, heartbroken, and deeply depressed. He wandered the streets, feeling nothing but darkness and despair. But when Dermot came to MQI, he said, “You welcomed me in. You brought me out of the cold and rain. I was among friendly people. It felt like I’d come home.” This year, there are more people than ever before who have lost hope and will be homeless this Christmas. Some have suffered a tragedy, like Dermot. Others are caught up in the cost-of-living crisis – unable to make ends meet. Someone sleeping on a bench out in the cold](https://mqi.ie/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/iStock-916886476-1024x680.jpg)
Amid soaring rent costs and the cost-of-living crisis, the line at the door of our Riverbank Drop-in Centre just keeps getting longer. We need your help to ensure that we can be there for the large numbers of people experiencing homelessness for the first time.
Your donation today will make a difference. You will be helping us to provide hearty food, cups of tea, hot showers, and fresh clothes for people who are hungry and cold. You will also be helping to provide essential services such as a nurse to dress weary feet, a doctor to treat poor health and guidance on how to access other supports as needed.
