Merchants Quay Ireland look to address homeless crisis with Recruitment Open Day

Merchants Quay Ireland (MQI), the national homeless and addiction charity, has today announced that it will be hosting a recruitment open day to fill a number of roles. The charity is seeking passionate people to help address unprecedented levels of homelessness across Ireland.

Originally founded in 1969 by two Franciscan Friars, Merchants Quay Ireland is one of the oldest homeless charities in Ireland and has developed their services in recent years to meet the complex needs of people who are homeless and in addiction. Today, MQI works in 12 counties across 22 different locations. Most recently, MQI was announced as the preferred bidder for Ireland’s first Medically Supervised Injecting Facility.

The Open Day will take place May 16th, in Merchants Quay’s Riverbank Centre, 13 Merchants Quay, Dublin 8 from 10.30am to 1pm.  Attendees should bring a copy of their CV on the day.

Stella O’Sullivan, Head of Human Resources & Governance at Merchants Quay commented on the announcement:

“We are recruiting for a number of roles, including Nurses, Project Workers, Project Worker (Leads) and many more. I would encourage anyone who is looking to work for a progressive and innovative organisation to come to our recruitment open day. Attendees will gain an insight into the work of Merchants Quay Ireland and what we can offer as an employer.”
