Every day, men and women come to Merchants Quay Ireland seeking warmth and safety, and an escape from life on the streets. As the numbers of people experiencing homelessness and addiction have increased sharply over the past decade, our teams are there every day to meet people with compassion and care at some of the most difficult moments in their lives. The generosity and kindness of companies plays a vital role in making this work possible.

By partnering with MQI, your company will help provide our clients with access to essential services such as hot meals, showers, accommodation supports, medical care, counselling, harm reduction and pathways to recovery.

Become our Charity Partner

  • Corporate partnerships are vital to Merchants Quay Ireland, helping us to raise vital funds for people experiencing homelessness and addiction. We know that every company is unique, which is why we will appoint a dedicated member of our team to work closely with you to develop a partnership that aligns with your values and objectives, offering your employees meaningful opportunities to come together to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of people affected by homelessness and addiction. 

Staff Fundraising

Staff fundraising is a powerful way to bring your team together while supporting people affected by homelessness and addiction. Whether it’s a once-off initiative or part of an ongoing programme, our fundraising team will support you to get your team involved in a way that suits your workplace, culture and capacity.  

  • Host an office fundraiser – think bake offs, costume/jumper days, cycle-athons, raffles, quizzes etc. 
  • Get your adrenaline pumping with individual/team challenges – abseils, skydives, Hell & Back, Mini Marathon, Endurance challenges 
  • Take part in our Road to Recovery 80km Challenge for Recovery Month in September 
  • Join us for one of our Christmas fundraising days 

Corporate Donation

  • Donate to help ensure that people experiencing homelessness and addiction will always have somewhere to go where they are welcome. A financial contribution from your company helps fund essential frontline services delivered every day with dignity, respect and compassion. Whether you choose to make a one-off donation, mark a workplace milestone or honour a colleague, your support has an immediate and meaningful impact on the lives of people who need it most.

Payroll & Matched Giving

  • Payroll Giving is an easy way for your employees to donate to MQI’s work directly from their monthly salary. Monthly donations mean MQI can plan future support for people who need us. If your company also matches your employees’ donations, so much more can be achieved. Read more here

Clothing Donation Drive

  • MQI provides an essential service offering hot showers to people who are experiencing homelessness and have spent a cold and wet night on the streets. By collecting new/clean clothing, comfortable shoes, coats and weatherproofs, underwear and toiletries, you can help restore dignity, self-worth and confidence at a time of real vulnerability.

Corporate Grants

  • We have a range of programmes and projects suitable for grant support, all focused on supporting people affected by homelessness and addiction. We will work closely with you to ensure your funding makes a clear and meaningful impact on the lives of those who rely on Merchants Quay Ireland’s services. Our robust governance, due diligence and impact reporting provide assurance that your grant is used responsibly and where it is needed most.

Display our “Lived Experience” Exhibition

  • The stigma of addiction and recovery is real. It shames people and puts up barriers to rebuilding life and starting over. You can help to break down the stigma of addiction by displaying MQI’s “Lived Experience of Addiction” photo exhibition in your workplace. It’s a beautiful collection of photos designed to open conversations around addiction and homelessness.
