"At the farm, I came out of my shell. I believe in myself now. I used to pray for days like these." - Caroline, former St. Francis Farm resident
In your Spring Quay Times newsletter, you will meet Caroline. After years in homelessness and addiction, she came to St. Francis Farm. When she first arrived, she was anxious and unsure of herself.
While at the farm, Caroline slowly began to rebuild her self-confidence. In group therapy, she was able to understand the role that childhood trauma had played in her addiction.
Caroline had never set foot on a farm before, but at St. Francis Farm, she found that gardening was a form of therapy – a way to collect her thoughts and think about the future that she wanted to build for herself.
Now, Caroline is living in the brighter days that she used to hope for, she tells us that “I used to pray for days like these.”
Caroline was given a second chance, a fresh start. It wouldn’t have been possible without the love shown by people like you. Thank you. 💜
