How does the Community Employment (CE) Drug Rehabilitation Scheme operate?
Our CLG Drug Rehabilitation Community Employment Scheme offers opportunities for people in recovery from substance use to re-engage into active community and working life. This is achieved by a range of training, education, work experience, and activities delivered alongside therapeutic supports for drug and alcohol use.
This scheme is open to anyone over the age of 18, in receipt of a DSP payment, who has a previous or current drug or alcohol issue (eligibility must be confirmed with the Department of Social Protection as the applicant must have at least 1 weeks DSP payment).

What is the Parenting Under Pressure Programme and how can I access it?
The Parents Under Pressure (PuP) program is a parenting program specifically developed for but not limited to families who are facing adversities which can include parental substance abuse, mental health problems, homelessness family conflict and severe financial stress.
The overarching aim of the PuP program is to help parents develop positive and secure relationships with their children. Within this strengths-based approach, the family environment becomes more nurturing and less conflictual. As the quality of the caregiving relationship improves, parents are able to focus on developing family routines and processes that are age appropriate for their infants and children. Parents and children learn how to regulate emotions and children are given the opportunity to learn additional self-regulation skills.
